If you fancy a visit to a garden centre that isn’t too far away, then The Plant Place may be the ideal venue. Located just off Amounderness Way, it is about a 15 minute journey. Ample parking, including Disabled. The Plant Place extended their premises in 2025 which included a new cafe. It was great to see that this included a lovely wide ramp access.
It is a smaller venue than Barton Grange, but ideal if you are just wanting somewhere to visit close by, especially on a rainy day, with the option of staying for food and/or a drink. We didn’t eat there, but I did pop in to see what the cafe looked like. Very smart and pretty busy, with only a few people waiting to be seated. That was at 1pm on a Monday, so I’m certain that it would be very busy at weekends.
The Christmas Shop was out and it looked very festive with a good choice of decorations for the tree or home. The place smelt lovely of ‘Christmas’. There are also plants and other gardening essential available for purchase.
