Being close to Blackpool, we are very lucky that there is always something for everyone to do.
Blackpool Zoo is only 20 minutes from our accommodation. With the new arrival of the baby elephant on the 2nd September 2025, it is definitely worth a visit. After years of strategic planning, preparations had been made by the Zoo to carefully manage and mitigate any challenges that may have arisen. The new arrival is called Zaiya (meaning strength in Burmese).
The zoo is fully accessible and have a great changing place facility. They were also worthy winners of the Lancashire Tourism Awards for Accessibility and Inclusivity.
