Garstang

Lunch in Pipers Garstang. Ham and pickle sandwiches cut into quarters on brown bread with a side salad and coleslaw. Served with a bowl of soup in the garden.

Garstang is a 25 minute drive from The Estuary.  We recently found a lovely walk by the river offering beautiful scenery.  Garstang is an ancient market town full of history still hosting a market on a Thursday. Lots of lovely shops, cafes and restaurants.  Booths has an accessible toilet and is located just a couple of minutes from the main shopping area.  We recently visited Pipers Restaurant for lunch and sat in the garden to the rear.  This can be accessed in a wheelchair, but they do not have accessible toilets.  Garstang is a lovely place to visit.  There is an ice cream festival in July, Country Show in August and a Victorian Christmas Festival in December.
