Our Accommodation
We have two accessible detached properties each with 3 bedrooms and 2 wet rooms. Both are wheelchair friendly with ramp access, level throughout and wide doors. We pride ourselves on catering for the able and less able bodied guests. Bramble has a profile bed and guests are also able to add a mobile hoist, shower commode chair, shower chair and toilet frame to their booking free of charge. We only opened in December 2021, but we already have lots of bookings which includes respite care. Maybe you just want a holiday away from it all where you do not have to worry about accessibility, in which case, look no further.
Our accommodation is spacious and modern in a tranquil location with amazing views across the River Wyre. Not only do we cater for able and disabled visitors, should you wish to use the facilities at Brickhouse Cottages you are able to book the sensory room, hydrotherapy pool or visit the Lakeside Bistro
Should you need a second profile bed, we have now sourced a local company that will help us fulfil this requirement at a cost of £190 per week.
We are also pet friendly and the local shops and pub are only 16 minutes walk or a few minutes drive away.
We are 20 minutes from Blackpool and 60 minutes to The Lakes or you can simply explore the Lancashire countryside all within an hour’s reach.

A recent review on Trust Pilot said ‘The pictures do not do it justice and every luxury is presented from electric blinds to washer drier and luxurious 5 star hotel beds. It was clean and spotless and provides a getaway in a remote yet central location to explore locally or elsewhere. Great hosts and a breath of fresh air from the normal stuffy outdated British accommodation’.
Another guest recently wrote in our guest book that it was ‘the best accessible accommodation they had stayed in’. That is what we want to read and hear. We listen to our guest feedback and look to take action where possible.
